Francois joined our company in 1994 working side by side with his father-in-law, Ottmar.  As a guide,
Francois has one distinct advantage above all guides in our industry being the fact that we was taught by the best.  Be it mechanical, knowledge or industry wise he worked hours un end together with Ottmar and has accumulated expertise in every field.  He was instrumental in the growth of our company throughout the years and has since the death of Ottmar stood firm at the side of Merrilyn.  Francois’
motto in live is to go the extra mile and will go out of his way to accommodate his guests.  His attitude and personality has become addictive and guest return year after year to join him on a tour.  His guests refer to him as “Man met die Hoed!”  as you will never catch him doing a tour without his “Tirollen Hut” a tradition started by Ottmar.

Charl joined our company in June 2005 having worked as a freelance tour guide in   Namibia for 13 years.  Charl has a very serious approach to life and has an appreciation for the finer things we tend to overlook. At first he seems to be quiet and withdrawn, but once his tour kicks off … he offers the element of surprise. Being a walking encyclopedia he has an answer to every question. Charl is “the mysterious, tall, dark handsome kind … leaving you wondering when you are coming back for more … “

Allan joined our company in July 2004 having worked as a freelance tour guide in Namibia for 13 years.  Out of all the words we could use to describe Allan’s personality, one word describes him to the teeth “Adrenaline Junkie”.  Allan has the tenacity to turn the dullest moment in your life into the most exhilarating experience you’ve ever had.

Allan has years of experience in boat / beach fishing and will keep your adrenaline pumping. If there is any fish around, he will find it.

Joe joined our company in February 2007 having worked as a freelance guide in Namibia since 2005.  Being a natural born charmer, Joe grooms himself for at least an hour in the mornings before he leaves our offices to start a tour. With him, everything has to be 100% and quality is everything.  He is a very enthusiastic and passionate guide, often resulting in guests booking a 2nd tour the very next day.

Johan (Mossie) joined our company in July 2003.  He started out as a youngster with Ottmar and Francois as his mentors.  His friendly outgoing personality ensures that there is always laughter and a party on his boat.  Fun and entertainment is his game.  During rugby season … his jokes are never ending!

Mossie is an expert in Beach Fishing having obtained the following extramural qualifications in this sport:

1998 – 2003 Namibian Junior Angling Team
2004    Namibian Senior Development Team

Wilmarie van Wyk

Wilmarie joined our company in April 2008 and is officially the first active lady skipper in our industry.  This lady is a bundle of energy with a bubbling personality and will stop at nothing to entertain guests, even if it means she has to dive overboard to fetch an extra bottle of “Namibian Coffee” and continue the rest of her tour soaking wet. She aims to please!
